Hendrix hits a liquor store before a blistering set in Wisconsin in 1970

Vintage ballpoint signature, “Love, Jimi Hendrix,” on a yellow 5 x 3.75 album page. Signature is housed in its original hardcover autograph album which bears several other signatures of friends, some dated 1968. In fine condition, with some skipping to first letter of sentiment. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a photocopy of a letter of provenance from the original recipient that states the signature was obtained on the afternoon of May 2, 1970, in Madison, Wisconsin liquor store. Later that evening, Hendrix and the Experience played the Dane County Coliseum on their Cry of Love tour. They played a 12-sing set including ‘Foxy Lady,’ and ‘Purple Haze.’ A highly-coveted signature from this most celebrated of music legends. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
