Some authors depicted are Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, William Cullen Bryant, James Fenimore Cooper, Nathaniel Hawthorne, John Greenleaf Whittier, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and James Russell Lowell.
