Original unsigned 1860s albumen carte-de-visite portrait of John Brown, 2.5 x 4, bearing a pre-printed signature in the lower border. The front has an 1863 copyright date and the back has a Civil War era tax stamp. Pencil notes on back and general light wear. The front bottom border may have been lightly trimmed. RR Auction COA.
