Eminent French sculptor (1834–1904) best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. Vintage 4 x 2.25 carte-de-visite photo of one of Bartholdi’s sculptures, by Paul Berthier of Paris, inscribed on the reverse in black ink in French and signed “Bartholdi.” Slight mounting remnants to reverse, as well as some mild toning, and some light spotting to background of image, otherwise fine condition.
