Important Italian composer (1792–1868) who became one of the seminal figures in the history of opera with such repertoire staples as The Barber of Seville and William Tell. AMQS on an off-white 3.5 x 2.25 card. Rossini pens four bars of music identified at the top “Ariette,” and signed at the bottom, “G. Rossini, Bade. Sept 1856.” A few light creases, toning and mounting remnants to edges, and some light rubbing to card, otherwise fine condition. Rossini is quite uncommon in musical quotes.
