In full: “I’ve answered requests from some handwriting, for books, mss. & autographs, a number of times already, and now they are on the autograph market, being sold by stores. I begin to suspect a scam. I don’t have lots of photos around, I don’t have a fan club, but one overworked secretary. Send me, signed, your group photo with your nurses and maybe I’ll believe you are what you say you are.
