Special Kansas City Limited Edition signed book, Memoirs by Harry S. Truman Volumes I and II, signed and inscribed on the half-title page of Volume I, “To A.J. Liebman with kind regards from Harry S. Truman”; and a TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, dated August 23, 1954. Short letter to Dr. Liebmann. In full: “I greatly regret contractual commitments make it impossible for me to comply with your request at this time. Thank you very much for the pamphlet containing the interesting essay by the Keeper of Manuscripts of the New York Public Library.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Letter is in fine condition, with some mild edge toning. Books rate very good to fine, with tape toning to last free end pages and inner flaps of dustjacket, and scattered small tears and creases to dustjackets.
