Bradley thanks a young man for prayers during Holy Week and promises to “win the war as speedily as possible”

War-dated TLS signed “O. N. Bradley,” one page, 6 x 8, Headquarters Twelfth Army Group letterhead, April 15, 1945. Letter to Morris Hammonds. In full: “I was pleased to have your letter and greatly encouraged to know that your prayers accompanied us during our battles in the Holy Week. Our troops will be grateful for your good wishes and I can assure you of their eagerness to win the war as speedily as possible.” Accompanied by a local newspaper article about the 13-year-old boy who wrote the letter, with the headline: “Bradley Thanks Moberly Boy For Prayer He Wrote.” Framed with the article, a newspaper photo of Bradley, and a brief biography to an overall size of 16.5 x 13.5. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope franked in another hand. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
