Signed and inscribed on the first free end page, “For Edwin Balmer, who succeeded in making a hero out of his everyday friend Vilhjalmur Stefansson, Chicago, December 7, 1921.” Mild toning to signed page, pencil notation to top of signed page, loose, but intact front hinge, and scattered wear to covers and spine, otherwise very good condition.
