Description

“I hope the decision about the income tax is pleasing to you. Perhaps some people will be surprised to find I’m not totally unmovable.”

TLS signed “Ron,” one page, 8.5 x 11, State of California Governor’s Office letterhead, February 3, 1970. A letter to bank vice president Charles J. Broska. In full: “Thank you for your good letter and for the enclosed articles. I did enjoy them. You were very perceptive about that one questioner on the panel. He is not exactly a supporter of what we are trying to do. By this time I’m sure you have heard (correctly reported, I hope) our plan for tax reform. I hope the decision about the income tax is pleasing to you. Perhaps some people will be surprised to find I’m not totally unmovable.” In fine condition, with some mild wrinkles and creases.
