Member of the Romanov imperial dynasty (1891–1941), known for being involved in the murder of Grigori Rasputin. Though most of his family was killed, he escaped to London after the Bolsheviks took over. Embarkation card from 1920, 6 x 4, filled out and signed in pencil by Dmitri. In the first two lines he prints his formal name, “Grand Duke Dmitri,” and provides his age, occupation, and London address, and signs at the conclusion, “Grand Duke Dmitir.” A few creases and scattered light toning and foxing.
