Description

Jimmy Carter

Black ink signature, “J. Carter,” on a 4.75 x 6.25 off-white sheet to which was latter added a quote taken from Carter’s 1979 speech regarding the Camp David Accord. Quote reads, “Peace has one thing in common with its enemy, with the fiend it battles, with war; peace is active, not passive; peace is doing, not waiting; peace is aggressive attacking; peace plans its strategy and encircles the enemy; peace marshals its forces and storms the gates; peace gathers its weapons and pierces the defense; peace, like war, is waged.” Also added to the sheet is a small printed color photo of Carter, Sadat, and Begin shaking hands after signing the Accord. Framed to an overall size of 6.5 x 8.75. In fine condition. RRAuction COA.
