General,” one page, lightly-lined, 5 x 8, June 16, 1862. Letter to General P. G. T. Beauregard. In full: “General Villepigue reported here on the 9th. On the 12th I reported it by Telegraph. On the 8th I telegraphed that he was at Collinsville. This morning I telegraphed that he is here. I communicated his arrival also by Colonel Augustin.” Intersecting folds, mild toning to each corner, pencil notation to top edge, and light show-through from docketing on reverse, otherwise fine condition.
