Manuscript DS, one page, 8 x 4.5, May 5, 1783. Revolutionary War-dated order of payment of an individual’s “services and expenses in, and relative to, the affairs of a Genl. Courtmartial, held at New London & Groton in the year 1782,” signed at the conclusion by Williams and several others. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, uniform toning, a chip to the top edge, a few tears to the bottom edge, show-through from writing on the reverse, and a signature covering the last half of Williams.’ Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
