The acclaimed designer writes to James Laver, in part: “I am preparing a production of The School for Scandal for Laurence Olivier and would like very much to have your help. Could I come in some time next week and look at any documents that might be of the period? I expect your life is made a misery with people worrying you in this way, but I would be most grateful.” In very good condition, with toning to the top corners from previous display, a punch hole towards the left edge, and a few ink and pencil notations.
