Eisenstein stops at the Grand Canyon before reaching Hollywood

Revolutionary Soviet Russian film director and film theorist (1898–1948) noted in particular for his silent films Strike, Battleship Potemkin, and October, as well as historical epics Alexander Nevsky and Ivan the Terrible. ALS in French, on the correspondence side of a photo postcard of Kaibab Trail, 3.5 x 5.5, postmarked June 1, 1930. Brief postcard to French journalist Renaud de Jouvenel. In full: “Even from this far I think of you and expect impatiently your news when I reach Hollywood.” In fine condition, with some light adhesive remnants from removed stamp. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
