Written to Assistant Secretary of War Thomas A. Scott, in full: “Permit me to introduce to you Mr. Legcurgus Edgerton, a gentleman of excellent business habits, residing in Paris,” with Scott adding, “& worthy of esteem & confidence.” Light creasing and toning, and a pencil notation to the top edge, otherwise fine condition.
