Thomas signs on the Quartermaster’s contributions “in the public service of the field” leading up to the winter of 1861

War-dated partly-printed DS, signed “Geo. H. Thomas, Brig. Genl. U. S. A.,” one page, 9.75 x 15.5, November through December of 1861. “List of Quartermaster’s Stores expended in the public service in the field under the direction of A. J. Mackey, Capt. & Assistant,” during the months of November and December of 1861, followed by a lengthy, handwritten list of articles and the amounts distributed, signed at the conclusion by Thomas and Brevet General, Andrew Mackey. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, light areas of foxing along the central horizontal fold, and a three-quarter separation along the same fold.
