Description

“I was most interested in the factory & passion fruit project. Also fully [sic] admiration for the way they have plugged away in the face of such great discouragement”

Polymath, journalist, writer, magistrate, broadcaster, farmer, environmentalist, and government advisor, she was married to a cousin of writer, Aldous Huxley. ALS, one page both sides, 8 x 10, November 5. Huxley writes, in part: “It was very kind of you indeed to have me to dinner on Monday, & I enjoyed it enormously…And will you please also pass on a message of very sincere thanks to your husband…I was most interested in the factory & passion fruit project. Also fully [sic]admiration for the way they have plugged away in the face of such great discouragement. It must be heartbreaking to see that disease spreading so. They certainly deserve the success. I’m sure they will achieve when the kitosh production starts.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds and a pencil notation in another hand to the top right corner. RRAuction COA.
