The King of England poses with two future monarchs

Prince of Wales and first British monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Edward’s reign (1901–1910) was named the Edwardian era, during which time of pioneering technological advances, including powered light and the rise of socialism. He was also responsible for the reformation of the Army Medical Services, the modernization of the British Home Fleet, and the reorganization of the British army after the Second Boer War. Vintage matte-finish 4.25 x 6.5 J. Russell and Sons photo of King Edward posing with his grandchildren Prince Edward, Prince Albert, Princess Mary, and Prince Henry, affixed to its original 8 x 10.5 photographer’s mount, signed in fountain pen on the mount, “Edward R & his grandchildren.” Photo is affixed to an identical size board. Dampstaining and well-done repaired crease along upper portion of mount, scattered light foxing and soiling to mount, and a bit of light silvering to image, otherwise very good condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
