Owing to poor health, Stewart sends an apologetic letter to George Burns for missing his birthday show

ALS, signed ”Jimmy,” one page, 6 x 8, personal letterhead, no date. Stewart writes to George Burns. In full: “I’m very sorry that I had to miss being on your Birthday Television Show. I have been having a little health problem with my face. It’s coming along and the Dr. says its going to be all right. Happy Birthday and all my best.”; and a glossy 8 x 10 photo of Stewart from early in his career, signed in black felt tip. Matted and framed to an overall size of 19 x 14.25. In fine condition, with some scattered light golding to photo. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
