An STS-1 used carrier panel vent cover. Red painted cover measures 13.25 x 6, is labeled at the bottom, “Vent No. 2,” stenciled in white paint “Remove Before Ferry Flight,” and has a spring-loaded handle for release. This particular cover was used during the shuttle’s first landing in California. In fine condition, with expected wear and foam on reverse lightly corroding.
