Tremendously popular actress who died from cancer at the age of 46. She was one of the fortunate actresses to make the transition from silents to talkies. In 1936, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in My Man Godfrey. A year later, she won the Academy Award for the Best Supporting Actress for her work in In Old Chicago. Scarce vintage fountain pen signature, “Alice Brady,” on an off-white 5 x 3 card with a small clipped photo affixed to lower right and collector’s notation along top edge.
