Weiss,” one page, 8.5 x 11, New York Yankees letterhead, February 13, 1953. Letter to Acting Assistant Attorney General Edward Hodges. In part: “The delay in answering your initial communication, which made inquiry as to whether a Yankee baseball game played during the 1952 season was authorized to be broadcast…from a station located outside Yankee home territory…the matter was checked into and I do not find that such broadcast or telecast as mentioned in your letter was authorized during the 1952 season.” Several other letters regarding the investigation are stapled to the letter, one which bears a pencil ANS to Weiss from Yankees owner Dan Topping, which reads, “Art is writing letter for your or my signature.
