“If you have any to spare I should be glad to have them for my collection”

TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, State of New York Executive Chamber letterhead, May 31, 1932. Letter to a stamp collector. In part: “I note what you say about the pictorial stamps of Liberia, and if you have any to spare I should be glad to have them for my collection.” A typed collector’s caption is affixed to the letter, along with a Roosevelt 1982 postage stamp. Aforementioned stamp and caption, scattered creasing, one through single letter of signature, uniform toning, old tape to top edge, mounting remnants to reverse, and some dampstaining, otherwise very good condition.
