Beeson pens seven bars of music to “Lizzie Borden, Act I, Sc I,” adding the lyrics, “Toil-ing ear-ly in the morn-ing, catch-ing mo-ments through—the day—etc.,” signed below, “Jack Beeson, August 18, 1974, Shelter Island, N.
