Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria R,” one page, 15.75 x 11.25, August 7, 1854. The Queen appoints Major General Henry Thomas C. B. “to be Colonel of our Ninety fourth Regiment of Foot.” Signed at the top by Victoria and countersigned by her secretary of war. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, and scattered moderate creasing, soiling, and foxing, with some foxing over signature.
