Three items: First Day of Non-Issue cover honoring the 50th Anniversary End of World War II, 1945–1995, featuring the Atomic Bomb stamp that was cancelled by the post office, and a “History Denied” card affixed to the back, telling the story of the cancelled stamps, signed in blue ink on the front, “Paul Tibbets,” and in black ballpoint on the back by the two men who made the stamps, Gerry Newhouse and Ron Kaplan; and two glossy 10 x 8 photos, one featuring Tibbets being decorated by General Carl Spaatz after the Hiroshima mission, signed in blue felt tip, “Paul Tibbets, Pilot, B29 Enola Gay to Hiroshima, 6 Aug, 1945,” and the other capturing the moment the Japanese surrendered on the USS Missouri, signed in blue felt tip by Tibbets.
