The final stanza of his well-known poem ‘The Chambered Nautilus,’ in full: “Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul/ As the swift seasons roll!/ Leave thy low-vaulted past!/ Let each new temple, nobler than the last,/ Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast/ Till thou at length art free/ Leaving thine outgrown shell by life’s unresting sea!” Double matted with a photo of the author at his desk and framed to an overall size of 16.5 x 11. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
