Major escape from the Stalag Luft III POW Camp in Germany during WWII. The location of the camp was selected due to the near impossibility of escape via tunnel. However, in March of 1944, after a year of planning and preparing, Squadron Leader Roger Bushell lead approximately 200 men towards freedom through the simultaneous construction of three tunnels, Tom, Dick, and Harry.
