Description

Wonderful image of the Women’s Suffrage pioneer

Pioneering feminist (1815–1902) who, at the first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York in 1848, presented her “Declaration of Sentiments,” outlining her view of the rights and aims of American women and contributing in no small part to the adoption of women’s suffrage more than half a century later. Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Elizabeth Cady Stanton by Decker & Wilber of Cleveland, Ohio, signed in ink at the bottom. Some wear to the edges, slight mounting remnants on the reverse, and the signature a shade light, but completely legible, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
