Nicely double suede matted and framed with a seated portrait of Dickens to an overall size of 21 x 17. In fine condition, with just a hint of scattered soiling and foxing. The Birmingham and Midland Institute was a pioneer of adult scientific and technical education (General Industrial, Commercial and Music) and today offers Arts and Science lectures, exhibitions, and concerts.
