In full: “Thank you for your kind note and picture. It was a joy to see you again, and Max Milder. I’ve always had a soft spot for you since first I knew you in California—and you’re the same swell guy now, you were then—Have had a full and exciting trip. Am going back to the states Thursday—but perhaps I’ll be back in the Spring and hope we can find a little time together.” In very good condition, with central horizontal fold, surface and corner creasing, light spots of soiling, and a few stray ink smudges.
