Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Gershwin jotting musical notes at his piano, signed in the bottom border in fountain pen, “–With sincere good wishes from George Gershwin.” In very good condition, with surface and corner creasing, and a portion of the border that originally bore an inscription has been removed and professionally replaced, which does not affect the superb signature. Gershwin is truly an example of art and spirit traversing the journey of time; his compositions still remain as relevant and inspiring today as they did during Gershwin’s era.
