Manuscript DS, one page, 8 x 2.75, February 15, 1833. Promissory note reads, in full “Six months after date we or either of us do jointly and sincerally [sic] promise to pay Smith Bailey Esq. of J B Bailey dec’d the sum of twenty two dollars and seventy five cents value received of him Brazoria.” In very good condition, with both signatures fairly light, but completely legible, toning, two old tape remnants along top edge, and a few light edge chips.
