I am of opinion that the contents of this book are of such value to students of English literature that I would ask you to send copies, to the extent of one hundred, tothe [sic] libraries of Colleges where you consider that it will be of service, forwarding bill for same to me at the above address.” A central horizontal fold, a few stray marks, and two rough edges, including the top edge where apparently the address mentioned in the letter once was, otherwise fine condition.
