Jules Verne

French writer (1828–1905) whose classic novels, including A Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, helped lay the foundations for the science fiction genre. ALS in French, one page, 5.25 x 8.5, October 28, 1876. Letter to Monsieur Denham. In full (translated): “I send hereby the letter you asked for and I thank you for the very kind things you told me.” In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical fold, and some scattered light toning and soiling. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
