Menu from the Big Dinner For Peace, held in Paris on April 25, 1949, 6.25 x 9.5 closed, signed inside in ink, “Picasso,” and signed twice by Pablo Neruda, “Neruda.” Menu is also signed by 10 others, including Joliot-Curie (who has signed again on the front cover), Elsa Triolet, Aragon, and Jean Effel, who adds a small sketch. In fine condition, with toning and soiling to covers, and collector’s notations opposite signed page. This Dinner for Peace was organized by the Paris Club of Friends of French Literature at the Pavillon Dauphine in 1949. A scarce combination of two masters coming together for a common cause.
