Barrymore and Thalberg settle on screen credits for Rasputin

DS, two pages, 8.5 x 11, June 11, 1932. Agreement between Barrymore and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Corporation exercising an option in a previous agreement “for a sufficient period to enable us to complete the production of two feature photoplays…and that you will be given credit as co-star in connection with the first photoplay to be produced by us pursuant to the exercise of said option; provided, however, that if Ethel Barrymore and Lionel Barrymore appear in said first photoplay that either your name or her name shall appear first or second and this shall be decided by us.” Signed on the second page by Barrymore and also signed by Irving Thalberg. In very good condition, with torn punch and staple holes to top edge, intersecting folds, and toning to both pages, heavier to first page. Barrymore would star with his brother and sister later that year in Rasputin and the Empress, produced by Thalberg. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
