Signer of the US Constitution from Pennsylvania (1744–1800) and first governor of that state. Partly-printed DS, signed “Tho. Mifflin,” one page, 15.5 x 12.5, March 11, 1794. Mifflin transfers land formerly owned by Declaration of Independence signer Benjamin Rush. In part: “There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Joseph Priestley Jun a certain tract of land called Montgomery situate on Loyalsock Creek in Nothumberland County.” The embossed paper seal remains mostly intact at upper left. In good condition, with intersecting folds, soiling, toning, some scattered small holes, and wrinkling. The signature is large, dark, and mostly unaffected. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
