Description

Moving from Pennsylvania Ave: “I’m afraid we accumulated a few things those last 8 years”

ALS signed “Ron,” two pages, 6.5 x 4.25, Presidential cover stock stationery, March 3 [1989]. Reagan, having left the White House only a few weeks earlier, writes Paul and Dolores Ballachino. In part: “Just received your birthday card for which I thank you. As for the rest of your message regarding your ill health, Nancy & I want you to know you’ll be in our thoughts & prayers. Take care of yourself Dolores & do what the Dr’s tell you to do. We’re still settling in and I’ve had my fill of cardboard shipping crates. Every few days I get a few more emptied & then have to find a place to put whatever was in them. I’m afraid we accumulated a few things those last 8 years.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Insightful correspondence as Reagan settles into his retirement from political service. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
