With your support and the support of all the celebrities, we were able to have a tremendously successful tournament. The purpose is to raise funds for various charities and as a result of your help, we will be able to contribute approximately $35,000 this year.” At the conclusion Ford adds, “P.S. You were a great partner. J.” In fine condition, with a horizontal mailing fold through portion of signature. Ford created the Jerry Ford Invitational Golf Tournament in 1977, which lured top golf professionals from around the country to come to Vail, Colorado, which created the opportunity to raise funds that would be invested back into the community.
