Composer (1874–1954) regarded as one of the first American composers to garner international acclaim. DS, signed rather shakily, as was his typical style, “Chas. E. Ives,” one page, 8.5 x 11, November 9, 1946. Ives agrees to terms for the publication of his work, ‘Third Symphony.’ In part: “You are hereby authorized to proceed with the publication of the composition named above which is to be printed in accordance with the following specifications.” Those details included the printing of 500 copies at a cost of $413.07. In very good condition, with a diagonal crease, two filing punch holes at the top, staple holes, wrinkling, and several tiny tears along the right edge. RRAuction COA.
