Actor tragically stabbed to death at the age of 37 in February 1976, best remembered for his roles in Rebel Without a Cause, Giant, and Exodus. Glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo, signed and inscribed in black felt tip “To Gene, always good to see you. Peace, Sal Mineo.” Scattered surface impressions, a few scratches, and spots of irregularity to the emulsion, otherwise fine condition. A penciled collector notation on the reverse reveals that the photo was signed in San Francisco in late 1975 following an interview by Gene Robertson. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
