McKinley indictment for “stabbing with intent to kill and wound”

Partly-printed DS, signed “William McKinley, Jr.,” one page, 8.5 x 10.5, June 8, 1871. Grand jury indictment against Abraham Hentz for “stabbing with intent to kill and wound.” Reverse bears the indictment stating Hentz “unlawfully and violently…with a certain knife…one wound in and upon the belly.” Signed on the docketing panel by McKinley. In good condition, with old tape repairs to total separations along horizontal folds, scattered toning and soiling, scattered small edge tears, and a couple light vertical creases through signature. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
