Memo notes “Final payment in full as per contract.” Check is endorsed on the reverse, “David Bell.” Check is housed in a 13 x 9.5 Beckett authentication holder. Expected stamps and cancellation holes, a couple pencil notations, and some scattered toning, otherwise fine condition. In 1938, O'Brien won the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, and the Walter Camp Award. The Davey O'Brien Award, given annually to the best quarterback in collegiate football, is named for him.
