Limited edition copy of Anna Christie

American playwright (1888–1953) who occupies a central place in the history of twentieth-century drama. Among his most famous works are The Iceman Cometh, Mourning Becomes Electra, and Long Day’s Journey into Night. A four-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize, he was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1936. Signed book: Anna Christie. Limited edition. NY: Horace Livewright, 1930. Hardcover with slipcase, 8 x 10.25, 161 pages. Signed “Eugene O’Neill” on the limitations page, which reads, “This special edition of Anna Christie, with twelve illustrations by Alexander King, is limited to 775 numbered copies, of which 750 are for sale. Each copy is signed by the author. This copy is No. 665.” In fine condition, with a mild shade of toning to pages and several partial separations to delicate edges of slipcase. A well-preserved and desirable edition of O’Neill’s play. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
