Vintage softcover autograph album, 6.25 x 4.75, dating from the 1940s, signed inside in ink or pencil by 43 stars of film or stage. About half of the signatures are cut from another source, including lightly-lined slips, then pasted onto a page. Signers are: Bud Abbott, Don Barclay, Trevor Bardette, Robert Barrett, Lionel Barrymore, Edgar Bergen, George Burns, Richard Carlson, Claudette Colbert, Jackie Cooper, Frank Craven, Laird Cregar, Cecil Cunningham, Joan Davis, Olivia de Havilland, Albert Dekker, Roland Drew, William Frawley, Bert Gordon, Susan Hayward, Jean Hersholt, Olaf Hytten, Gordon Jenkins, Nancy Kelly, Martin Kosleck, Dottie Lamour, Madeleine LeBeau, Joe McMichael, Philip Merivale, Victor Moore, Agnes Moorehead, Donald O’Connor, Hal Gildersleeve Peary, Susan Peters, Rags Ragland, Phil Regan, Ginny Simms, Penny Singleton, Harry Tyler, Joan Valerie, Bert Wheeler, and two unidentified names. With only a few exceptions, each signature appears on its own sheet with some inscribed. In very good condition, with mild rippling and scattered soiling. The book's original owner wrote on the first page that the item bears signatures from "movie and radio stars all gotten in person at the Hollywood Restaurant 'Brown Derby' and Hollywood Broadcasting Offices."
