“While in Rangoon was there for it’s defense and fall. Later lead a 10 plane raid to Changuai, Siam”

Number 1 flying Tiger ace with 16 victories. Limited edition 10.5 x 16.5 print entitled Curtiss P-40E Warhawk, numbered #4/1000, signed in blue ballpoint, “Bob Neale Sqd. Ldr, 1st Sqd. A.V.G.” At the top of the print, Neale adds a brief career history. In full: “While in Rangoon was there for it’s [sic] defense and fall. Later lead a 10 plane raid to Changuai, Siam were [sic] the Japansese where [sic] caught on the ground, much damage. Stayed an extra two weeks to help the 14th AF get established. Turned down a majority and returned to the US to fly 4-engine flying boats over seas. Quit flying in 1950 and bought a fishing resort on Camano Is. about 66 miles north of Seattle and been here ever since.” Also signed in black felt tip by the artist, Joe Milich. Double matted and framed with five photos and a patch to an overall size of 27 x 26.5. In very fine condition. Superb first-hand account from one of World War II’s best pilots. Oversized.
