An agreement between Garland and Loew’s Incorporated granting permission “at the request of the Victory Committee, to appear on ‘COMMAND PERFORMANCE’ on Saturday evening, February 12,1944, upon condition, however, that such services shall not be deemed to be rendered by you under our contract with you dated August 28, 1940, and that no compensation shall be payable to you by us in connection therewith.” Nicely triple-matted and framed with an attractive book photo capturing Garland during the same time period as the document was signed, to an overall size of 22.5 x 18. In fine condition, with two filing holes to top edge and signature a shade or two light. Originally from the estate of Hollywood writer and producer, John Aylesworth.
